Norte-Quito-Sur
Avenida Norte-Quito-Sur or NQS is an arterial road in Bogotá, Colombia that crosses the city from northeast to southwest. The avenue is formed from the union of three old avenues, Avenida Ciudad de Quito, Avenida Novena, and Autopista Sur. Etymology The complete name of the road, from its end on Calle 170 until the entrance to the municipality of Soacha is ''Avenida Norte-Quito-Sur''. Along the route of these three roads, it also is known by four other names: ''Avenida Carrera Novena'', ''Carrera 30'', ''Avenida Calle 57 Sur'', and ''Troncal NQS''. TransMilenio
TransMilenio is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that serves Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, and Soacha. The system opened to the public in December 2000, covering Caracas Avenue and 80 street. Other lines were added gradually over the next several years, and as of 2022, 12 lines totalling run throughout the city. It is part of the city's Integrated Public Transport System (''Sistema Integrado de Transporte Público'' ITPin Spanish), along with the urban, complementary and special bus services operating on neighbourhoods and main streets. It was inspired by Curitiba's '' Rede Integrada de Transporte'' (Integrated Transportation Network). TransMilenio consists of several interconnected BRT lines, with raised floor stations in the center of a main avenue, or "''troncal''". El Espectador
''El Espectador'' (meaning "The Spectator") is a newspaper with national circulation within Colombia, founded by Fidel Cano Gutiérrez on 22 March 1887 in Medellín and published since 1915 in Bogotá. It changed from a daily to a weekly edition in 2001, following a financial crisis, and became a daily again on 11 May 2008, a comeback which had been long rumoured, in tabloid format (28 x 39.5 cm). From 1997 to 2011 its main shareholder was Julio Mario Santo Domingo. It is the oldest newspaper in Colombia. Since its first issue its motto has been "El Espectador will work for the good of the country with liberal criteria and for the good of the liberal principles with patriotic criteria". Portal Del Sur
Portal del Sur is one of the terminus stations of the TransMilenio mass-transit system of Bogotá, Colombia, which opened in the year 2000. Location The Portal del Sur is located in the south of the city, more specifically on Autopista Sur where it meets the cemetery ''Jardines del Apogeo'' (carrera 72D). History The inauguration of the head station was made on April 15, 2006, although public space works and some mixed lanes continued until June of the same year. The portal has a cycling service for users. Beginning in September 2013, "TuLlave" travel cards work in the Portal del Sur, after months of discussions on how to start integrating the cards used in all phases of TransMilenio.
