Sadik 2
''Sadik 2'' is a 2013 French horror film that was directed by Robin Entreinger. The film had its world premiere on 23 August 2013 at the London FrightFest Film Festival and centers upon a group of friends that finds themselves hunted by a sadistic killer. The film's title implies that it is the second film in a series but is actually the first film, as Entreinger thought that it would be interesting to film a "sequel" before creating the first film. ''Sadik 2'' references the fictional first film by having the characters reference it by commenting that ''Sadik'' became popular due to rumors that it was a snuff film, as all of the actors were genuinely murdered on camera. London FrightFest Film Festival
FrightFest, also known as Arrow Video FrightFest is an annual film festival held in London and Glasgow. The festival holds three major events each year: a festival running five days over the UK late August Bank Holiday weekend, a Halloween event held in London in late October, and a festival in Glasgow held around February as part of the Glasgow Film Festival. The first event was held in London in 2000 and the first Glasgow festival was held in 2006. As its name indicates FrightFest primary focus is on the horror film genre, however, the event regularly features documentaries, science fiction and thriller films. History Paul McEvoy has stated that his initial idea for FrightFest "came from my love and admiration for the seminal 'Shock Around The Clock' events of the 1980s organised by Stefan Jaworszyn and Alan Jones." Snuff Film
A snuff film, or snuff movie, or snuff video, is a type of film that shows, or purports to show, scenes of actual homicide. The concept of snuff films became known to the general public during the 1970s, when an urban legend alleged that a clandestine industry was producing such films for profit. The rumor was amplified in 1976 by the release of a film called '' Snuff'', which capitalized on the legend through a disingenuous marketing campaign: that film, like others on the topic, relied on special effects to simulate murder. According to the fact-checking site Snopes, there has never been a verified example of a genuine commercially produced snuff film. Videos of actual murders have been made available to the public, generally through the Internet; however, those videos have been made and broadcast by the murderers either for their own gratification or for propaganda purposes, and not for financial gain. ''Scream'' is an American horror slasher franchise that includes six films, a television series, merchandise, and games. The film series has grossed over $740million in worldwide box-office receipts. It was created by Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first two films and the fourth. The first four films were directed by Wes Craven. Ehren Kruger wrote the third film.
