Sabine Letícia Heitling (born 2 July 1987, in Santa Cruz do Sul) is Brazilian athlete specializing in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Biography Heitling's personal best in the event is 9:41.22 achieved in 2009 in London. This was the Brazilian and South American record on the steeplechase until 2016, when Juliana Paula dos Santos ran 3 seconds faster. In 2013, Heitling tested positive for a banned stimulant Methylhexaneamine Methylhexanamine (also known as methylhexamine, 1,3-dimethylamylamine, 1,3-DMAA, dimethylamylamine, and DMAA; trade names Forthane and Geranamine) is an indirect sympathomimetic drug invented and developed by Eli Lilly and Company and marketed a ... and was disqualified for 1 year. Santa Cruz do Sul () is a city in central Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Athletics events at the 2006 South American Games were held at the Centro Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, between November 10–12, 2006. This year, participation was restricted to athletes younger than 23 years. The competition also served as the 2nd South American Under-23 Championships. A detailed report on the results was given.
