SCTV (Indonesia)
Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is an Indonesian free-to-air television network. It was launched on 24 August 1990 in Surabaya, East Java as Surabaya Centra Televisi, broadcasting to the city and its surrounding area. At first, the programming was similar to that of RCTI, broadcasting foreign shows and some of RCTI news programs until they could produce their own. On 30 January 1993, SCTV obtained a national license and eventually moved its operations to Jakarta, changing its name to Surya Citra Televisi. Its main offices are located in Central Jakarta, with studios in West Jakarta. It is owned by Surya Citra Media, a publicly-listed subsidiary of the technology company Emtek. On 18 February 2011, the commissioners of its parent companies Indosiar and SCTV agreed to a merger, although this was subject to government approval due to both companies going public. IndiHome (abbreviated from Indonesia Digital Home) is a home telephone, internet, and Internet Protocol television services owned by Telkom Indonesia. IndiHome was launched on 2015 to replace Speedy. Its packages also come with digital music portal services and Home Automation. IndiHome services can only be applied to homes in which there are fiber-optic networks available from Telkom (FTTH) and areas that still use copper cables. Telkom claims that IndiHome products have had up to 2,000 units ordered each day throughout 2015. Vidio
Vidio is an Indonesia-based over-the-top video streaming service established on 15 October 2014. Originally owned by Kreatif Media Karya, it is now owned by Surya Citra Media, both of which is a subsidiary of Elang Mahkota Teknologi ( Emtek). The service's content consists of free-to-air and subscription channels, live streaming, films and dramas, and television. It is one of the largest streaming platforms in Southeast Asia. History Vidio was founded on 15 October 2014 and aimed to be the YouTube for Indonesians. Originally, Vidio's content was dominated by user-generated content and TV content from Emtek's media outlets. In 2015, Vidio had about 3,000 to 4,000 monthly active users. Analog Television
Analog television is the original television technology that uses analog signals to transmit video and audio. In an analog television broadcast, the brightness, colors and sound are represented by amplitude, phase and frequency of an analog signal. Analog signals vary over a continuous range of possible values which means that electronic noise and interference may be introduced. Thus with analog, a moderately weak signal becomes snowy and subject to interference. In contrast, picture quality from a digital television (DTV) signal remains good until the signal level drops below a threshold where reception is no longer possible or becomes intermittent. Moji (TV Network)
Moji, stylized as mOȷı, previously known as O Channel, is an Indonesian free-to-air television network founded by Elang Mahkota Teknologi and MRA Media. MRA Media sold its stake in O Channel on 2007. Initially broadcasts as a local station in Jakarta, it broadcasts from 24 hours, 7 days a week. Since 2020, Moji has increasingly established itself to broadcast nationally through digital television on SCM's multiplexing channel ( SCTV or Indosiar), while increasing broadcast programs (especially sports programming) and slowly reducing home shopping programming. The channel is also available through analogue signals in cities where O Channel was available, such as in Banten and Bandung (the latter originally through Garuda Vision, another local broadcaster from 2012 until 2021).
