Switch Tape
''Switch Tape'' is the debut extended play by Australian singer and rapper Tkay Maidza. It was released on 24 October 2014. A mixtape was self-released on Maidza's soundcloud in October 2014 as well, mixed by Maidza's longtime producer and collaborator DJ, Elk. The mixtape featured unreleased tracks and collaborations. The release was supported by an Australian tour commencing in Canberra on 7 November 2014. Tkay Maidza
Takudzwa Victoria Rosa "Tkay" Maidza ( ; born 17 December 1995) is a Zimbabwean-born Australian singer-songwriter and rapper. Biography Maidza was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. Her parents are metallurgists. In 2001, her family moved to Australia when she was five years old. They lived in Perth and Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and in Whyalla in South Australia before relocating to Adelaide in 2010. She graduated from St Michael's College at age 16 and studied architecture at the University of South Australia before becoming a full-time musician. Maidza took part in Adelaide's Northern Sound System artist development program and released her debut single, "Brontosaurus", at age 17 with producer BadCop. She has since released an EP, ''Switch Tape'', featuring collaborations with Night Slugs' Bok Bok and producer SBTRKT. Kristy Lee Peters, known professionally as KLP, is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer, DJ and radio personality from Sydney, New South Wales. Kristy was the host and presenter on Triple J's House Party program from the years 2015 to 2018. Career KLP has played a list of festivals and events including: Splendour in the Grass, Field Day (Sydney festival) and Falls Festival. Kristy has written music for and with Skrillex, Slumberjack, Nicole Millar, and Japanese group Banvox. In May 2020, "Energy" peaked at number 1 on the ARIA club tracks chart as well as being nominated for ARIA Award for Best Dance Release. Drew Carmody, better known by his stage name L D R U, is an Australian DJ and record producer. His first single, "The Tropics", was released in 2013. L D R U is best known for the single " Keeping Score" featuring Paige IV.
