Sundanese-Baduy Languages
Sundanese-Baduy languages or simply Sundanese languages is one of the branches of several debatable language families, such as, Malayo-Sumbawan and Greater North Borneo in one Austronesian language family. Members in this language family include Sundanese along with dialects and Baduy which are linguistically related to Sundanese with a degree of mutual intelligibility which is high but is often considered a separate language for ethnic and cultural reasons. This language family is spoken mainly in the western part of the Java Island, as well as in other areas of Indonesia where diaspora of one of the speakers of this language family reside. The most prominent language of this language family is Sundanese with the number of native speakers more than 40 million, spread over various regions of Indonesia. Brebes Regency

It has approximately 40 million native speakers in the western third of Java; they represent about 15% of Indonesia's total population. Baduy People
Baduy people (sometimes spelled as Badui or Kanekes) are an indigenous Sundanese ethnic group native to the southeastern part of Banten specifically Lebak Regency on western hemisphere of Java island in Indonesia. Etymology The term is a short form derived from in Baduy language, it is the native Sundanesic term which refers to the endemic vine plant in western hemisphere of Java island which are usually used as herbal medicine since ancient times. As part of Sundanesic family, the term also known in Old Sundanese and Sundanese languages which bears the same meaning; the Cibaduyut region in the Sundanese cultural land region may derived from the same etymology. Old Sundanese
Old Sundanese (Sundanese script: , Old Sundanese script: , Buda script: , ) is the earliest recorded stage of the Sundanese language which is spoken in the western part of Java. The evidence is recorded in inscriptions from around the 12th to 14th centuries and ancient palm-leaf manuscripts from the 15th to 17th centuries AD. Old Sundanese is no longer used today, but has developed into its descendant, modern Sundanese. Written Evidence Old Sundanese is recorded in stone inscriptions such as the Kawali Inscription in Ciamis, and the Batutulis inscription in Bogor, as well as in inscriptions made from copper plates such as the Kabantenan inscription from the Bekasi area.
