''Sugar Trap 2'' is the fifth mixtape by American rapper Rico Nasty. Released independently on October 20, 2017 under her own Sugar Trap label, it was supported by the singles "Poppin", "Key Lime OG", "Rojo" and "Blue". The mixtape features a guest appearance from rapper Famous Dex on "White", as well as production from WhoIsMike on the lead single "Poppin". To support its release, Rico Nasty embarked on the Sugar Trap Tour of North America which began in November and ended in December 2017. American magazine ''Rolling Stone'' listed ''Sugar Trap 2'' as one of the 40 Best Rap Albums of 2017. Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly (born May 7, 1997), known professionally as Rico Nasty, is an American rapper from Prince George's County, Maryland. She began Self-publishing, self-releasing while in high school, and had released five solo mixtapes by late 2017. She gained a local following on SoundCloud with her songs "iCarly" and "Hey Arnold". After gaining wider recognition with her 2018 singles "Smack a Bitch" and "Poppin", she signed with Atlantic Records to release her sixth mixtape, ''Nasty (mixtape), Nasty'' (2018). Tidal (stylized TIDAL) is a Norwegian-American music streaming service, launched in 2014 by the Norwegian-Swedish public company Aspiro. Grime is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in London in the early 2000s. It developed out of the earlier UK dance style UK garage, and draws influences from jungle, dancehall, and hip hop. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 140 beats per minute, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. Auto-Tune is audio processor software released on September 19, 1997, by the American company Antares Audio Technologies. It uses a proprietary device to measure and Pitch correction, correct pitch in music. It operates on different principles from the vocoder or talk box and produces different results. Auto-Tune was initially intended to disguise or pitch correction, correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly musical tuning, tuned.
