Steve Scott (born March 19, 1968) is an American comic book creator. Since 1994 he has been working for a wide variety of publishers, most notably Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Career Living in Biloxi, Mississippi, Steve Scott started sending his artwork to comic publishers in the early 1990's until the independent publisher Malibu Comics gave him his first big break as a professional comic artist in 1994 with ''Sludge'', set in the Ultraverse. Meanwhile he kept his daytime job as a firefighter. In 1999 he got his first of many gigs at Marvel with ''Wolverine'' and in 2000 the first of many at DC Comics with ''Hourman''. Steve Scott is an American musician, producer, writer, and actor from New Jersey. His music style combines classic pop/rock arrangements and rhythm sections with traditional bluegrass, which he has termed "rustbelt country". Early life and education Scott was raised by a single mother in a poor Irish Catholic family in Newark, New Jersey with his three older siblings. Both of his brothers later became United States Marines. Scott's interest in music started at an early age, influenced by his family members. Peter De Santa, a guitar teacher, became his mentor and inspiration. While attending high school in Union, New Jersey, he was nicknamed Lucius by friends. Steve Scott (born May 5, 1956) is an American former track athlete who competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics. Track & Field News ranked Scott #1 in the U.S. on ten occasions, and eleven times during his career he was ranked in the top ten in the world by T&FN. Scott is also regarded as the founder of speed golf in 1979. Early years Scott grew up in the 1960s in Upland, California. ''Uncertain T'' is a show car built by Steve Scott in 1965. Design specifics The chassis is steel tube, painted red. The 1957 Buick nailhead, with it block painted brown and the intricate detailing of red paint, was bored and stroked to and equipped with 11:1 compression Jahns pistons, Hilborn injectors, Scheiefer magneto, 1963 Buick cylinder heads, and open headers. The transmission and quick-change rear axle casing were painted brown, the rack and pinion and torsion bar tube yellow. The body was fiberglass, resembling the Model T "phonebooth" coupé, steeply raked forward, with a "wind-up key" in the rear section. When it debuted, the body was painted a deep candy red (applied by Bill Cushenbery). The upholstery was done by Lee Wells. The steering wheel was a four-spoke design, mounted vertically.
