Steve Rauschenberger
Steve Rauschenberger (born August 29, 1956) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate from 1993 to 2007. Early life Steve Rauschenberger was born on August 29, 1956, in Elgin as one of six children to John Rauschenberger, a member of the Illinois Republican State Central Committee, and Shirley Rauschenberger. He attended Elgin Area School District U46 public schools and was a National Merit Finalist in high school. In 1978, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from College of William & Mary in Virginia. In 1980, he purchased his family's business, Rauschenberger Furniture Co., and went on in 1985 to buy Ackemann Brothers Corp., of which he is currently president and general manager. He became active with his children in Boy Scouts and served as a member of the Elgin Downtown Advisory Commission. South Elgin is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 23,865. Hinckley, Illinois
Hinckley is a village in Squaw Grove Township, DeKalb County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,070 at the 2010 census, up from 1,994 in 2000. History In the 1830s, a Mr. Hollenbeck, who lived near Ottawa, Illinois, was traveling the then-unsettled territory. He found a grove of trees west of the present-day Hinckley and named it Squaw Grove, after the Native American women who were tending camp. In the spring of 1835, John Sebree built a log house. The following year, more families came to the area and a small town was started at the west edge of what is now Hinckley, which was named Squaw Grove. Hinckley was conceived in the 1870s as the brainchild of Francis Hinckley, president of the Chicago and Iowa Railroad. Burlington, Illinois
Burlington is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 535 at the 2020 census, down from 618 in 2010. It was incorporated as a village on November 6, 1990. History Burlington was platted by Andrew Pingree in 1851. It was named after the Burlington Northern Railroad, which runs through the south edge of the village. In 1878, the area had three cheese factories, a general store, a hotel and a saloon. A post office under the name "Burlington" has been in operation since 1906. The last dairy plant closed in the 1970s. Since the early 1990s, Burlington has been home to two small plastics companies.
