Stereo Type (album)
''Stereo Type'' is a collaborative studio album by American Los Angeles-based rap trio Strong Arm Steady and Boston-based hip hop record producer Statik Selektah. It was released on August 14, 2012, through Stones Throw Records. Production was handled by Statik Selektah, who also served as executive producer together with Peanut Butter Wolf and SAS member Krondon, with additional production by J Rocc. It features guest appearances from Chace Infinite, Planet Asia, Baby D, Bad Lucc, Black Hippy, Casey Veggies, David Banner, Dom Kennedy, Double R, Fiend, Picas0, Reks, Skeme and Tri State. The album was preceded by a six-track extended play, released by the same title of ''Stereo Type'' on July 17, 2012. Rapper/producer Oh No released a nine-track remix EP titled ''Stereo Jr.'' on December 1, 2012. Critical reception ''Stereo Type'' was met with generally favorable reviews from music critics. Strong Arm Steady
Strong Arm Steady, often referred to as SAS, is a hip hop group in California's underground hip hop scene. As of December 2009, the act consists of members Phil Da Agony, Krondon, of Los Angeles, and Mitchy Slick of San Diego, California. Originally an amorphous collective of at least eight, formed as an alternative to the gang-focused productions of West Coast hip hop's then-dominant Death Row Records, SAS pared down to four members for recording in the studio and performing live, with Xzibit as the frontman. Fiend (rapper)
Richard Anthony Jones (born May 13, 1976), better known by his stage name Fiend (or International Jones), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. His debut studio album, '' I Won't Be Denied'' (1995), was released by the local record label Big Boy Records, although he signed with its regional competitor, Master P's No Limit Records to release its follow-up, '' There's One in Every Family'' (1998). Otis Lee Jackson Jr. (born October 24, 1973), known professionally as Madlib, is an American record producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and rapper. Critically acclaimed for his eclectic, music sample, sample-heavy production style, he is regarded as one of the most influential producers in modern hip-hop. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean. While weighted means generally behave in a similar fashion to arithmetic means, they do have a few counterintuitive properties, as captured for instance in Simpson's paradox. Standard Score
In statistics, the standard score or ''z''-score is the number of standard deviations by which the value of a raw score (i.e., an observed value or data point) is above or below the mean value of what is being observed or measured. Raw scores above the mean have positive standard scores, while those below the mean have negative standard scores. Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average).
