Fastball is an American rock music, rock band. It was formed in Austin, Texas, in 1992. The band originally called themselves Magneto U.S.A., and changed their name after signing with Hollywood Records. In 1998, their album ''All the Pain Money Can Buy'' reached platinum sales within six months of its release, and stayed on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 chart for a year. ''The Help Machine'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band Fastball. Background The album was produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, who personally selected the tracks for the album from a list of songs provided to him by members Tony Scalzo and Miles Zuniga. Berlin recruited bassist Bruce Hughes, This freed Scalzo to concentrate on keyboards and guitar. This album marks the first time since '' The Harsh Light of Day'' that a Fastball album does not feature songs co-written by Scalzo and Zuniga. Bob Clearmountain (born Chiaramonte, January 15, 1953) is an American mixing engineer and record producer, best known for his work with major acts, including Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Roxy Music, Pretenders, and Bryan Adams.
