Star Rock
Star rock is a distinctive Scottish form of confectionery rock. It is also sometimes known as starry rock, or starrie.Robinson, Mairi,starrie, ''The Concise Scots Dictionary''. Each stick of rock has a diameter similar to a pencil, and it is about 4 inches (10 centimetres) in length. Sticks are not sold individually but packaged in a paper-wrapped bundle. Golden syrup or light treacle is a thick, amber-coloured form of inverted sugar syrup made by the process of refining sugar cane or sugar beet juice into sugar. Edinburgh Rock
Edinburgh rock or Edinburgh Castle rock is a traditional Scottish confectionery, confection, and is quite distinct from conventional Rock (confectionery), rock. It consists of sugar, water, cream of tartar, colourings and flavourings. It is formed into sticks, and has a soft and crumbly texture. Kirriemuir ( , ; ), sometimes called Kirrie or the ''Wee Red Toon'', is a burgh in Angus, Scotland, United Kingdom. The playwright J. M.
