Standa Procházka (, born 11 June 1973) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player. He plays forward for HC Liberec in the Czech Extraliga. He played in the Czech Extraliga for HC Dynamo Pardubice, Motor České Budějovice and HC Bílí Tygři Liberec. HC Dynamo Pardubice
HC Dynamo Pardubice is a professional ice hockey club that plays in the Czech Extraliga. Its home venue is Enteria arena (Pardubice), Enteria arena located in Pardubice. The club was originally named LTC Pardubice, acquiring its current name at the start of the 2015–16 Czech Extraliga season, 2015–16 season. History Ice hockey has been played in Pardubice since the beginning of the 20th century. Hockey's beginnings in Pardubice can be traced to the Matiční jezero where bandy, a hockey-like game, was played. This style of hockey was adopted from football – there were 11 players, opposing goals, a ball, and a football-like field. The first match of ice hockey was played in 1913 on the very same lake. Jaroslav Modrý (born 27 February 1971) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenseman who played 13 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers, Dallas Stars, and Philadelphia Flyers. He is currently an assistant coach in the St. Louis Blues organization with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. Playing career Modrý was selected 179th overall in the ninth round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. He made his NHL debut with the Devils during the 1993–94 season. A trade to the Ottawa Senators in July 1995 was followed months later in March 1996 by a trade to the Los Angeles Kings. History Bandy era in České Budějovice The long history started in 1911, when group of young gymnasium students devised a plan to start a bandy team.
