St. Elizabeth Technical High School
St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) is a co-educational secondary school in Santa Cruz, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. This year 2021 marks 25 years of STETHS Alumni Association (Inc.) and on 60 years since the inception of our alma mater. STETHS Alumni Association USA Inc. was formed and celebrated by STETHS Classes 1961 - 2020 and its President Donovan Wilson. History The idea of building a Technical secondary school in Santa Cruz was initiated by the 'Santa Cruz Citizen's Association in 1958. Various pleas were made to the country's Ministry of Education, in addition to the Kaiser Bauxite Company. These authorities soon realized the importance of a technical, skill-based school. Ian Weakley
Ian Weakly AKA Ian Weakley (born 24 February 1974 in Montego Bay, Saint James Parish) is a retired male hurdler from Jamaica. Weakly's best performance came in 2003 with a time of 48.55 in the 400 meter hurdles, ran in Trikala, Greece. Pre-Professional Weakly began competing in athletics (Track and field) at St. Elizabeth Technical High School. Originally an 800m runner, Weakly transitioned to the 400 meter hurdles and began to succeed. Weakly won both the 1992 CARIFTA Games and 1993 CARIFTA Games in the 400 meter hurdles. After graduation Weakly attended Southwestern Christian College where he won both silver and bronze at the 1994 & 1995 NJCAA National Championships. Khesanio Hall (born 10 October 1994) is a Jamaican footballer. Early and personal life Hall was born on 10 October 1994 in Jamaica; he has two siblings. Shericka Williams
Shericka Williams (born 17 September 1985 in Black River, St. Elizabeth) is a Jamaican former sprinter. Together with Novlene Williams, Ronetta Smith and Lorraine Fenton she won a silver medal in 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. She also competed in the individual contest, but was knocked out in the semifinal. Two years later, she won another silver medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay event at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics, this time with Shereefa Lloyd, Davita Prendagast and Novlene Williams. The team set a national record in that race, finishing second to the United States in a time of 3:19.73. Lovel Palmer (born 30 August 1984 in Mandeville) is a Jamaican footballer who currently plays as a defender and midfielder for the Des Moines Menace in the Premier Development League. Deshorn Dwayne Brown (born 22 December 1990), is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a forward for USL Championship club Sacramento Republic. The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is the governing body of football in Jamaica and is in charge of the Jamaica national football team and the Jamaica National Premier League. Horace G. Burrell JP OM (8 February 1950 – 6 June 2017), also known as Captain Burrell, was the president of the Jamaica Football Federation, and the Senior Vice-President of CONCACAF.
