Space Invaders Extreme
(stylized as ''SPACƎ INVADERS EXTRƎME'') is a re-vamped incarnation of the classic arcade game ''Space Invaders''. The DS and PSP versions were released to mark the 30th anniversary of ''Space Invaders'' which saw its original arcade release in 1978. An HD version of the game has been remastered by Backbone Entertainment for Xbox Live Arcade with new four-player multiplayer modes and visualizer backgrounds by Jeff Minter, it was released on May 6, 2009 as a wrap-up to the 30th anniversary. The game is played at a fast pace with an electronic soundtrack and sound effects. A sequel for the DS titled '' Space Invaders Extreme 2'' was released in Japan on 26 March 2009, North America on 20 October 2009, and Europe on 2 October 2009. Taito
is a Japanese company that specializes in video games, toys, arcade cabinets and game centers, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Space Invaders Extreme 2
(stylized as ''SPACƎ INVADERS EXTRƎME 2'') is the sequel to ''Space Invaders Extreme''. ''Space Invaders Extreme 2'' features new content compared to its predecessor. A cut-down version of the game called ''Space Invaders Extreme Z'' has been made available on DSiWare (Japan only) for 500 Points. Gameplay ''Space Invaders Extreme 2'' has similar gameplay to its predecessor, such as the switching weapons, Fever Time, chaining, Bingo Fevers, and more. However, there are several changes and new systems in the game: Modes There are now three modes, Score Attack, Ranking, and the brand-new Time Attack. In Score Attack, the goal is to get as many points as possible, while in Time Attack, the goal is to finish as fast as possible. Metacritic is a website that aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. Zuntata
is the "house band" of Japanese video game developer and publisher Taito. The band consists of sound director Katsuhisa Ishikawa, bassists Yu Shimoda and Shohei Tsuchiya, and drummer Masaki Mori. Zuntata is Taito's core sound department, and has become the collective name for the company's other sound production teams. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) was an online multiplayer gaming service run by Nintendo to provide free online play in compatible Nintendo DS and Wii games. The service included the company's Wii Shop Channel and DSi Shop game download services. It also ran features for the Wii and Nintendo DS systems. Games designed to take advantage of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection offered Internet play integrated into the game. When promoting this service, Nintendo emphasized the simplicity and speed of starting an online game.
