Soul Central
Soul Central are a British music production duo originally founded by Andy Ward and Paul Timothy but now consisting of Matt Mckillop and Paul Timothy. Biography When Andy Ward was part of the original line up they had a number 6 hit in 2005 with "Strings of Life (Stronger on My Own)" on the UK Singles Chart, a cover of " Strings of Life" by Derrick May. It also reached number 1 on the UK Dance Chart. The track featured vocals from house singer Kathy Brown and was released through Defected Records. The Danny Krivitt re-edit also appeared on the Ministry of Sound compilation album, '' The Annual 2005''. The follow-up single "Need You Now" was an instrumental, and failed to match the success of the previous single, peaking at number 109 in the UK. In May 2006, Soul Central released "In-Ten-City", a single promoted by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show. Pete Tong
Peter Michael Tong (born 30 July 1960) is an English DJ who works for BBC Radio 1. He is the host of programmes such as '' Essential Mix'' and '' Essential Selection'' on the radio service, which can be heard through Internet radio streams, for his record label FFRR Records and for his own performances at nightclubs and music festivals. Tong has also worked as a record producer and is regarded as the "global ambassador for electronic music." Luis Ferdinand Vega Jr. (born June 12, 1965), as known as "Little Louie" Vega, is an American DJ, record producer and remixer of Puerto Rican ancestry. He is one half of the Masters at Work musical production team. Biography He was born to a musician family, as his father, Luis F. Arthur Baker (born April 22, 1955) is an American record producer and DJ best known for his work with hip hop artists like Afrika Bambaataa and Planet Patrol, as well as British group New Order. He is also known for remixing the Jill Jones song "Mia Bocca" on the 12" single, taken from her self-titled debut album '' Jill Jones'' (1987), released on Prince's Paisley Park Records, as well as remixing the Pet Shop Boys song, " In the Night". His remix of the song was used as the main theme for the BBC TV programme '' The Clothes Show'' between 1986 and 1994. Kevin Maurice Saunderson (born September 5, 1964) is an American electronic dance music DJ and record producer. He is famous for being a member of a trio, along with Juan Atkins and Derrick May, who came to be known as the Belleville Three, who are often credited to being among the pioneers and originators of techno: in particular this act helped define Detroit techno, the earliest style of this music genre.
