Sole Technology, Inc., known informally as Sole Tech, is an American footwear and apparel company, specializing in skate shoe design, production and distribution. The company is owned and operated by Pierre-André Senizergues, a former professional freestyle skateboarder. The company's headquarters are in Lake Forest, California, United States. History Sole Technology was founded in 1996 to be the parent company of the etnies, éS, Emerica and ThirtyTwo brands. The Sole Technology Institute (STI) was established in 2003. STI Lab is a first-of-its-kind research and development facility that conducts biomechanical skate shoe research. In May 2024, etnies, éS, Emerica and ThirtyTwo were acquired by Nidecker Group, a Swiss action sports equipment conglomerate. Following the acquisition, a new company was created to operate the four brands under Nidecker, with Pierre-André assuming the role of CEO for each of them. Lake Forest, California
Lake Forest is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 85,858 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Lake Forest incorporated as a city on December 20, 1991. Prior to incorporation, the community had been known as El Toro. Following a vote in 2000, Lake Forest expanded its city limits to include the master-planned developments of Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills. This expansion brought new homes and commercial centers to the northeastern boundary of the city. Lake Forest has two lakes from which the city gets its name. The lakes are man-made, and condominiums and custom homes ranging from large to small line their shores. Surfing
Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Andrew Reynolds (skateboarder)
Andrew Reynolds (born June 6, 1978) is an American professional skateboarder known for co-founding Baker Skateboards in 2000 with artist Jay Strickland. He is now Baker Skateboard's sole owner. Reynolds established Bakerboys Distribution with Erik Ellington and Jim Greco in 2007. Bakerboys Distribution provides distribution for closely related in-house skateboard companies such as Deathwish Skateboards and Shake Junt. He is also the head of design at Altamont Apparel. Rick McCrank
Richard McCrank (born January 23, 1976) is a Canadian professional skateboarder and skate shop owner. Early life McCrank was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. Professional skateboarding McCrank's first deck sponsor was Cherry Bombs, a small Canadian brand. McCrank was discovered by professional skateboarder Colin McKay and invited to join Plan B Skateboards. After Plan B, McCrank briefly joined Birdhouse, appearing in the 1998 video ''The End.'' After Birdhouse, McCrank joined the Girl Distribution Company and is currently a team member of the Girl brand. Arto Saari (born November 9, 1981) is a Finnish retired professional skateboarder and photographer. Early life Saari was born in Seinäjoki, Finland. His mother was supportive of his skateboarding and his first skateboard was a Vision Gator model. Skateboarding Saari first attracted attention from the global skateboarding community when he won silver at the skateboarding world championships in Munster, Germany in 1998 at the age of 16 years. Robert Dean Silva Burnquist (; born 10 October 1976) is a Brazilian-American professional skateboarder who competed for Brazil throughout his career. In 2010, he became the first skateboarder to land a " fakie 900" (900-degree reverse-natural rotation), making Burnquist the fifth person in history to successfully complete the 900 trick. John Rattray is a Scottish professional skateboarder. Early life Rattray was raised in Aberdeen and attained a university degree from the University of Glasgow.
