Smiley Guy Studios is a Canadian television production company founded in 1998 by graduates of the Canadian Film Centre including Jeremy Diamond, Adrian Carter and Denny Silverthorne; Jonas Diamond joined in 1999. It is one of the most prominent creators of adult animation in Canada, with shows like ''Odd Job Jack'', ''The Dating Guy'', ''Sons of Butcher (TV series), Sons of Butcher'' and ''Corner Gas Animated'', unlike most studios which focus primarily on shows targeting children's or family demographics. Smiley Guy also produces family content. Mondo Media, Inc. is an American multimedia company that mainly produces online independent animation aimed at teens and young adults. It was founded in 1988 by John Evershed and Deirdre O'Malley in San Francisco, California. Before ''Mondo Mini Shows'', which mainly was the core of HTF content. the company initially created content for various tech companies, before developing two video games, ''Critical Path'' in 1993 and '' The Daedalus Encounter'' in 1995, under the name Mechadeus. Chortle is a British comedy website launched in 2000 by Steve Bennett. The site is a major source of comedy news in the UK. It also reviews comedy shows nationwide, including extensively at the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and presents the Chortle Awards to honour the best stand-up comics working in the UK. In recent years, the site has also branched out into events promotion. Captain Canuck is a Canadian comics, Canadian comic book superhero. Created by cartoonist Ron Leishman and artist/writer Richard Comely, the original Captain Canuck first appeared in ''Captain Canuck'' #1 (July 1975). The series was the first successful Canadian comic book since the collapse of the nation's comic book industry following World War II. Three characters have worn the maple leaf costume of Captain Canuck.
