''Sleeping Dogs'' is a late night programme aired on BBC Choice Wales that ran for two series from 2000 until 2001. The show consisted of an entertaining yet peculiar mix of short, quirky factual films featuring people from all walks of life from around Wales coupled with darkly surreal comic shorts. BBC Choice Wales
BBC Choice was a British digital television channel which was owned by the BBC and was launched on 23 September 1998. It was the first United Kingdom, British TV channel to broadcast exclusively in Digital television, digital format, as well as the BBC's second non-analogue-terrestrial channel launch (following on from the BBC News (TV channel), BBC News channel in 1997). At launch, BBC Choice mainly existed to supplement existing programming on BBC One and Two, with some low-profile original programming of its own. However, faced with low ratings for both Choice and BBC Knowledge, in 2000 the BBC's digital strategy changed. Under new controller Stuart Murphy, the channel began to aim specifically at a young adult audience. Reginald Garnet "Tim" Williamson (6 June 1884 – 1 August 1943) was an English football player who made 602 appearances as a goalkeeper for Middlesbrough, scoring two goals, as well as 7 appearances for England. Playing career While he was young, Williamson played centre-forward for Coatham Grammar School. He also played at amateur level for Redcar Juniors and Redcar Crusaders before he kept goal for Middlesbrough in a friendly game versus Cliftonville as a 17-year-old. Paul Andrew Owen (9 June 1969 – 10 June 2020) was a Canadian cricketer. Owen was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. Owen, who had been educated at Bedford Modern School, began his county cricket career in England with Bedfordshire, making his debut for the county in the 1989 Minor Counties Championship against Norfolk. In 1990 he joined Gloucestershire, making three first-class appearances in that season against Yorkshire, Northamptonshire, and Surrey. A bowler, Owen took 4 wickets at an average of 59.75, with best figures of 2/37. 1990 was his only season with Gloucestershire, the following year he returned to playing Minor counties cricket for Bedfordshire.
