Skotterup Kro 1882
Skotterup is a former village and current neighbourhood located in the southern part of Helsingør, Denmark. It is located between Snekkersten to the north and Espergærde to the south and belongs to Snekkersten postal district (3070, Snekkersten). Skotterup consists of an approximately 100 metres long stretch of the Strandvejen coastal road. It is located approximately 200 metres south of Snekkersten station. The name is mostly associated with the small Skotterup Beach, the road Skotterupvek and Skotterup Inn (Skotterup Kro). The King's Vase (Kongevasen), a landmark installed by the fishermen who brought passengers from the steam ferries ashore, is still seen on the beach. Helsingør
Helsingør ( , ; ), classically known in English as Elsinore ( ), is a coastal city in northeastern Denmark. Helsingør Municipality had a population of 63,953 on 1 January 2025, making it the 23rd most populated municipality in Denmark. Helsingør is located at the narrowest part of the Øresund strait and together with Helsingborg in Sweden, forms the northern reaches of the Øresund Region, centred on Copenhagen and Malmö. Snekkersten
Snekkersten is a former fishing village and current neighbourhood in the southern part of Helsingør, Denmark. Snekkersten station is an interchange between the Coast Line (Denmark), Coast Line between Copenhagen (to Copenhagen) and the Lille Nord railway to Hillerød. The distance from City Hall Square (Copenhagen), Copenhagen City Hall Square is approximately 45 km. Today, most of the inhabitants are commuters, either working in Helsingør or Copenhagen. Espergærde
Espergærde is a town situated in North Zealand near Øresund in Denmark. It is part of the larger urban area Espergærde-Snekkersten-Helsingør ( Elsinore), some 5 to 8 km south of the centre of Helsingør , separated from the urban area of Helsingør-Snekkersten by a 100m wide green belt, Egebæksvang forest and an area under natural protection around Flynderupgård (previously a village, later a farm, today a museum). The urban area of Espergærde also covers the two former villages Tibberup and Mørdrup and part of the former fishing village of Skotterup, with 11.524 inhabitants (2008). Snekkersten Station
Snekkersten station is a railway station serving the district of Snekkersten in the southern outskirts of the city of Helsingør, Denmark. It is located on the Coast Line between Helsingør and Copenhagen and the Little North Line between Helsingør and Hillerød. The train services on the Coast Line are currently operated by Danish State Railways, whereas the railway company Lokaltog runs frequent local train services between Helsingør station and Hillerød station. History Snekkersten station is not one of the original stations on the North Line which opened in 1864. The tracks were then located a little further to the west. In 1879, a halt was made near Borupgaard, a local farm. Traffic grew significantly when the Coast Line opened in 1897. The station was refurbished by Sigurd Christensen in 1954. Tikøb
Tikøb is a small town and parish located 8 km west of Helsingør and six km north of Fredensborg, between Lake Esrum to the southwest and Gurre Lake to the east. in Helsingør Municipality, some 40 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. History Tikøb was probably founded during the late Viking period. The name is first documented as ''Tiwithcop'' in Esrom Abbey's Book of Letters (''Esrum Klosters Brevbog'') in 1170. It is believed that that name means "acquired land in/by the forest dedicated to the Gods". The sparsely populated was the largest parish on Zealand and one of the largest in Denmark. Augusta Dohlmann
Augusta Dohlmann also known as ''Henriette Augusta Johanne Dohlmann'' (1847–1914) was a Danish painter. She was known for her flower painting. Biography Dohlmann was born in Frederiksberg on 9 May 1847. In 1878 she traveled to Paris to study French and painting. She returned to Denmark in 1880 when she exhibited at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition, where she would exhibit annually. Throughout her lifetime she would make several trips to Europe. Dohlmann was active in the formation of the ' (the Art Academy's Art School for Women) in Copenhagen which open in 1888. In 1901 she became the first female member of the Board of the ''Kunstnerforeningen''. In the mid-1890s she taught drawing and painting in Gothersgade.
