Skepticism (band)
Skepticism is a Finnish Funeral doom, funeral doom metal band. Formed in 1991, they are regarded as one of the pioneers of the genre. History Starting out with a death metal sound on their first 7", Skepticism soon began to evolve into a more distinctive style, a combination of slow doom metal and death metal with prolific use of electronic keyboard, keyboards, especially using an organ (music), organ sound. The keyboards intend to create a depressive sound, rather than the gothic metal, gothic sound that many heavy metal music, metal bands using keyboards tend to focus on. This style was first heard on the ''Aeothe Kaear'' demo (1994), which was still up-tempo compared to the material that was to follow. The debut album ''Stormcrowfleet'' (1995) pushed the band's style away from traditional doom metal. Riihimäki (; ) is a town and municipality in the south of Finland, about north of Helsinki and southeast of Tampere. Consonance And Dissonance
In music, consonance and dissonance are categorizations of simultaneous or successive sounds. Within the Western tradition, some listeners associate consonance with sweetness, pleasantness, and acceptability, and dissonance with harshness, unpleasantness, or unacceptability, although there is broad acknowledgement that this depends also on familiarity and musical expertise. ''Metal Injection'' is an American online music publication focusing on hard rock and heavy metal. It was founded in 2003 by Frank Godla and Robert Pasbani in Brooklyn, and officially launched on January 1, 2004. It was initially established as a public-access TV show, but quickly transitioned to online video interviews and content. Funeral Doom Metal
Funeral doom is a subgenre of death-doom with heavy influence from funeral dirge music. Low- tuned guitars, death growls, instruments that emulate pipe organ sounds and ponderous pace are typical traits of this style.
