''Skeleton Psalms'' is the thirteenth studio album by Christian rock band Disciple. It is the band's first album in four years, and was produced by the band's guitarist, Josiah Prince, at his home studio The Ranch. Background On January 13, 2023, the band released the first single for the album, "The Executioner", which marked the first new music the band had released since ''Love Letter Kill Shot'' back in 2019. On February 1, 2023, the album's second single, "Promise to Live", was released. The final single "Bad Words" was issued with the preorder for the album and tracklist. A deluxe edition of the album was released on April 25, 2025. Themes "Every single song is intertwined and connected with each other," vocalist Kevin Young stated. Disciple is an American Christian metal band from Knoxville, Tennessee, formed in 1992. The group has released 13 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 1 live extended play, and 1 compilation album. History Early releases (1992–1998) Disciple was formed in December 1992 by Knoxville high school friends Kevin Young, Brad Noah, Adrian DiTommasi and Tim Barrett. The band played its first show in May 1993 at Topside Church of God in Louisville, Tennessee, and recorded its first three-song demo at Nightsong Studios with producer Jesse Jones. Adrian DiTommasi left the band shortly after that for personal reasons, and Kevin Young would eventually take over the bass guitar duties. It is the seventh album by the band to be produced by Travis Wyrick, and was mixed and mastered by Zeuss (Demon Hunter, War of Ages, Iced Earth, Queensrÿche). Decyfer Down is an American Christian rock band formed in 1999 and based in Morehead City, North Carolina, United States. Until 2002 – the year that Christopher Clonts joined the band – they went by the moniker Allysonhymn (pronounced All-eyes-on-Him). Decyfer Down is well known in Christian music, but the band is also known for their mainstream success, having toured with bands like Puddle of Mudd and Breaking Benjamin. Lester Estelle II (born April 28, 1981) is an American drummer and backing vocalist for the Christian rock band Pillar, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He currently plays drums for singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson and Jacob Whitesides. He was formerly a member of Stars Go Dim.
