Simon Griffiths
Simon Griffiths (born 15 January 1973) is an English professional golfer who played on the Asian Tour 2006–2017 and was runner-up at the 2007 Hana Bank Vietnam Masters and the 2008 Volvo China Open. In 2024, he joined the European Senior Tour where he was European Senior Tour Rookie of the Year, Rookie of the Year. Professional career Griffiths turned professional in 1996 and attended European Tour Q-School 15 times between 1997 and 2016 without securing a card. Instead he played on the Asian Tour between 2006 and 2017, where his best finishes were runner-ups at the 2007 Hana Bank Vietnam Masters and the 2008 Volvo China Open, a European Tour co-sanctioned event. In 2015, he played on the Challenge Tour where he recorded three top-10 finishes. Chertsey
Chertsey is a town in the Borough of Runnymede, Surrey, England, southwest of central London. PGA Tour Champions (formerly the Senior PGA Tour and the Champions Tour) is a men's professional senior golf tour, open to golfers age 50 and over, administered as a branch of the PGA Tour. History and format The Senior PGA Championship, founded in 1937, was for many years the only high-profile tournament for golfers over 50. Peter Baker (golfer)
Peter Alan Baker (born 7 October 1967) is an English professional golfer. He had three wins on the European Tour, one in 1988 and two in 1993. He represented Europe in the 1993 Ryder Cup. Amateur career Baker learned golf at his father's nine-hole Himley Hall course and was taught by Sandy Lyle's father Alex. In 1985, he was the joint winner of the Brabazon Trophy, after a tie with Roger Roper. He represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 1985 Walker Cup and turned professional the following year. The MCB Tour Championship is a men's senior (over 50) professional golf tournament on the European Senior Tour. It has been held every year, in December, since 2009. In 2009 and 2010 it was called the Mauritius Commercial Bank Open and was played at the start of the season, while from 2011 to 2017 it was the final event of the season. It was played at the Constance Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius. In 2017, the prize fund was €450,000. In 2018 the Tour Championship consisted of two tournaments. Scott Robert Hend (born 1973) is an Australian professional golfer who has played on a number of the world's main tours. He is renowned as a long hitter. Professional career Hend turned professional in 1997 and joined the PGA Tour of Australasia. He has since played on most of the major golf tours around the world. He has won three times in Australia, and was the inaugural winner of the Von Nida Tour Order of Merit in 2003. He has also won on the Canadian Tour, at the 2002 Victoria Open. Vanslow Luke Phillips (born 27 March 1972) is an English professional golfer. Early life and career Phillips was born in London. As an amateur, he won the Berkshire Trophy twice before turning professional after playing in the Walker Cup at the end of 1993. In 1995, he won twice on the Hippo Tour and led the Order of Merit. In 1996 he won the Interlaken Open on the second-tier Challenge Tour and graduated to the European Tour for the following season by finishing in 6th place on the tour rankings at the end of the year.
