''Side Effects'' is an EP by the Danish singer-songwriters Mads Langer and Tim Christensen, released on July 19, 2014, through RCA and Sony Music Denmark. The EP was awarded the "Danish rock album of the year",Svidt, Ole Rosenstand (December 4, 2014)"GAFFA-Prisen: Og vinderne er..."(GAFFA Awards: And the winners are...). ''GAFFA''. while the collaboration garnered the duo a GAFFA Award for "Danish rock band of the year". Background Christensen and Langer first met during the 2006 Danish Music Awards. Langer opened for several of Christensen's shows in 2009, and they collaborated on the song "Say No More", which was released on Langer's eponymous album that same year. In March 2014, it was announced that Langer and Christensen would perform together during the Grøn Koncert tour in July 2014. The EP was created with these performances in mind. Mads Lillelund Langer (née Langer Clausen; born 14 January 1984) is a Danish singer-songwriter, who became internationally known for his cover of " You're Not Alone" by the British band Olive. He is a multi platinum and multi award winning artist in his home country Denmark. The follow-up to Reckless Twin was a 2016 album featuring his hit single “3AM” which he co-produced with Jamie Hartman. Carpark North
Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. The band was formed in Aarhus, Denmark on 28 July 1999 by Lau Højen (vocal, guitar), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesisers) and Morten Thorhauge (drums). The name "Carpark North" was created from the electro and rock genres: "Carpark" stands for car parks, edges, roughness, metal – the rock part, and "North" stands for northern lights, stars ethereal electronics. History The foundation for Carpark North was laid at Mellerup Efterskole, where Søren Balsner and Lau Højen met and formed a band. This band played in the national championship in rock in 1997. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which pushes a length of magnetic tape against a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds. The Mellotron evolved from the similar Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more efficiently. The first models were designed for the home and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. Bandleader Eric Robinson and television personality David Nixon helped promote the first instruments, and celebrities such as Princess Margaret were early adopters. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company.
