Sick Puppies
Sick Puppies are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1997. After releasing their debut album '' Welcome to the Real World'' in 2001, the band rose to prominence in 2006 when their song " All the Same" was uploaded, along with a video, to YouTube. The video supported the Free Hugs Campaign, which was launched in Sydney by Juan Mann, and has since received over 78 million views on the website. This success was followed up with their second studio album, '' Dressed Up as Life'', in 2007, which entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 181. Their third studio album, '' Tri-Polar'', came out in 2009. The band's fourth studio album, ''Connect'', was released in 2013. Welcome To The Real World (Sick Puppies Album)
''Welcome to the Real World'' is the debut studio album by the Australian rock band, Sick Puppies. The album was released only in Australia on 3 September 2001 as an enhanced CD with the "Every Day" music video included. The album's 3,000 copies that were pressed were only sold in Australia, making it very valuable – and only available – on the second-hand market. The album was released with the "Every Day" single on some pressings. This is the band's only studio album to feature Chris Mileski on drums. Pre-release The band entered the Triple J Unearthed band competition in 2000 with a demo of their song, "Nothing Really Matters", and went on to co-win the Sydney-region along with Blue and Ariels.Spans.Earth. which led to a management deal with Paul Stepanek Management. ''Tri-Polar'' is the third studio album by Australian rock band Sick Puppies, released on 14 July 2009. The album debuted at number 31 on the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart, selling around 16,500 copies. ''Tri-Polar'' has sold over 379,000 copies as of 2013. The band's first single titled " You're Going Down", was used by the WWE as the official theme song for their PPV event WWE Extreme Rules 2009, and the video game ''WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010''. The song was also used in the 2010 live-action film adaptation of ''Tekken'' and the trailer for '' My Soul to Take''. The song "War" was written for Capcom's video game ''Street Fighter IV'' and has been used in their respective advertisements for the game. All The Same
"All the Same" is a power ballad by Australian band Sick Puppies, released as the first single from their 2007 album '' Dressed Up as Life'', although it was first released on their self-titled EP a year before the album. It reached No. 8 on the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart and featured in the Free Hugs Campaign. The radio edit cuts off the middle of the second verse and end of the third verse, whereas there are no vocals in the third verse. Music videos The song has three music videos. Carl Hiaasen (; born March 12, 1953) is an American journalist and novelist. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and by the late 1970s had begun writing novels in his spare time, both for adults and for middle grade readers. Two of his novels have been made into feature films, and one has been made into a TV series. Hiaasen's adult novels are humorous crime thrillers set in Florida. They feature casts of eccentric, sometimes grotesque characters and satirize aspects of American popular culture. ''Sick Puppy'' is a 2000 novel by Carl Hiaasen. Plot summary Robert Clapley, a former drug smuggler-turned-real estate developer, plans to build high-rise condominiums on Toad Island, the home to a large population of oak toads. The project requires the construction of a massive new bridge to the mainland to accommodate Clapley's cement trucks.
