Shinichi Ishizuka
is a Japanese manga artist. He made his debut in 2001 and began his first series, '' Gaku: Minna no Yama'', a manga about mountain climbing, in ''Big Comic Original'' in 2003, where it was serialized until 2012. He also created '' Blue Giant'', a manga about jazz, and its sequels, which have been serialized in ''Big Comic'' since 2013. Ishizuka studied at universities in the United States, where he was introduced to mountain climbing and given an increased exposure to jazz. After returning to Japan and being laid off, he began working towards becoming a manga artist and published the one-shot ''The First Step'' in 2001. His works ''Gaku: Minna no Yama'' and ''Blue Giant'' have both received film adaptations and awards, including the Manga Taishō, Shogakukan Manga Award, and a grand prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival. is a weekly Japanese ''seinen'' manga magazine published by Shogakukan. The first issue was published on October 14, 1980. Food, sports, romance and business are recurring themes in the magazine, and the stories often question conventional values. The magazine is published every Monday. Jūzō Yamasaki
is a Japanese manga artist. His best known work is '' Tsuribaka Nisshi'' with art by Kenichi Kitami. Yamasaki originally wrote screenplays for Toei, but was laid off and decided to pursue a career in manga instead. Tsuribaka Nisshi
is a Japanese fishing-themed manga series written by Jūzō Yamasaki and illustrated by Kenichi Kitami. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's ''seinen'' manga magazine ''Big Comic Original'' since 1979. It won the 28th Shogakukan Manga Award in 1983. Notari Matsutarō
is a Japanese sports manga series about sumo wrestling. It's written and illustrated by Tetsuya Chiba. Plot Matsutarou Sakaguchi is lazy and quick tempered. As a result, he is stuck in middle school even though he is an adult. One day he gets in a fight with a sumo wrestler and they take the fight to a sumo ring. The attending sumo stable masters are impressed by Sakaguchi's strength and convince Sakaguchi to come to Tokyo. Sakaguchi has an ulterior motive though. A teacher he has a crush on, Reiko Minami recently moved to Tokyo and the sumo stable is close to her home. Sakaguchi begins training and competing in sumo while dreaming of the day he can marry Reiko. is a Japanese manga artist. Considered a major figure in the history of manga, many of his early titles are still in print due to continued popularity. is a Japanese motorbike racing-themed manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno. It was serialized in Kodansha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from 1983 to 1991, with its chapters collected in 38 ''tankōbon'' volumes. Earlier parts of the story focus both on high school life as well as street racing. At first the characters are illegal street racers (Japanese: hashiriya) that race on public roads, particularly on the winding mountain roads known as tōge. is a Japanese manga artist famous for creating '' Initial D''. Shigeno has also created '' Bari Bari Densetsu'', ''Dopkan'', and ''Tunnel Nuketara Sky Blue'' ("First Love in Summer").
