Sheikh Ali Madad ( ur, ) was a Parachinar Pakistani Shia Muslim religious leader and politician born in Gilgit. He died on 28 June 2002, and was succeeded by Muhammad Nawaz Irfani. Gilgit
Gilgit (; Shina: ; ur, ) is the capital city of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. The city is located in a broad valley near the confluence of the Gilgit River and the Hunza River. It is a major tourist destination in Pakistan, serving as a hub for trekking and mountaineering expeditions in the Karakoram mountain range. Gilgit was once a major centre for Buddhism; it was an important stop on the ancient Silk Road, and today serves as a major junction along the Karakoram Highway with road connections to China as well as the Pakistani cities of Skardu, Chitral, Peshawar, and Islamabad. Parachinar
Parachinar ( ps, پاړه چنار; ur, ) is a small Pashtun ( Turi and Bangash tribe) town which is the capital of Kurram District in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Parachinar is situated on a neck of Pakistani territory west of Peshawar, that juts into the Paktia, Logar and Nangarhar provinces of Afghanistan. With a distance of from the Afghan capital Kabul, Parachinar is the closest point in Pakistan to Kabul. It is one of two urban areas in Kurram District, the other one being Sadda, and has shrunk considerably in population over the past few decades, becoming the least populous urbanized area in Kohat Division. Muhammad Nawaz Irfani
Muhammad Nawaz Irfani ( ur, , 1 January 1970 – 2014) was a Parachinar Pakistan Shia Muslim religious leader, revolutionary, and politician. He was succeeded by Fida Hussain Muzahiri. Early life Muhammad Nawaz Irfani was born in Danyor, Gilgit. His early education was in the local school of the village. His family was Ismaili Shia, but his grandfather and father give priority to Twelver Shia Islam over Ismaili religion and linked with Shia Islam. As a result, they had to endure a lot of hardships and trouble. Educational life Patiently for all offenses his father sent his dear son to Jamia tul Muntazar Lahore. Sheikh (pronounced or ; ar, شيخ ' , mostly pronounced , plural ' )—also transliterated sheekh, sheyikh, shaykh, shayk, shekh, shaik and Shaikh, shak—is an honorific title in the Arabic language.
