Sharif Afifi is an English stage actor. For his performance in ''The Band's Visit (musical), The Band's Visit'', he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award. Was also in the "Cats Musical". Early life Afifi grew up in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. He is of Egyptian descent. He trained in Professional Musical Theatre at the Hammond School in Chester. Career Afifi's early work from 2012 to 2017 included a minor role in ''Rent (musical), Rent'' at Greenwich Theatre, ensemble and understudy roles in ''The 8th Fold'' at the Duchess Theatre and on the UK tour of ''Wonderland'', and as Munkustrap in the Royal Caribbean International, Royal Caribbean production of ''Cats (musical), Cats''. ''The Band's Visit'' is a stage musical with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Itamar Moses, based on the 2007 Israeli film of the same name. The musical opened on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in November 2017, after its off-Broadway premiere at the Atlantic Theater Company in December 2016. ''The Band's Visit'' has received critical acclaim. Its off-Broadway production won several major awards, including the 2017 Obie Award for Musical Theatre, as well the year's New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical. Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace is an entertainment and sports venue in North London, situated between Wood Green and Muswell Hill in the London Borough of Haringey. A listed building, Grade II listed building, it is built on the site of Tottenham Wood and the later Tottenham Wood Farm. It was designed by John Johnson (architect, born 1807), John Johnson and Alfred Meeson. It opened in 1873 but following a fire two weeks after its opening, was rebuilt by Johnson. It was intended as "the People's Palace" and as such it is often referred to by the nickname "Ally Pally". The Edinburgh International Festival is an annual arts festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, spread over the final three weeks in August. Notable figures from the international world of music (especially european classical music, classical music) and the performing arts are invited to join the festival. Amarachi Weruche A. Okereke (born 27 November 1996) is a Nigerian English actress. She is known for her work in theatre. Early life and education Okereke was born in North Tyneside in 1996, the only daughter of two Nigerian medical professionals. She grew up in Adel, Leeds and attended the Grammar School at Leeds. The Other Palace
The Other Palace is a theatre in London's Off West End which opened on 18 September 2012 as the St. James Theatre. It features a 312-seat main theatre and a 120-seat studio theatre. It was built on the site of the former Westminster Theatre, which was damaged by a fire in 2002 and subsequently demolished. It was owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Theatres Group from 2016 to 2021, which gave it its current name. Omar Baroud (born 1991/1992) is a Dutch actor and writer based in London. He is known for his theatre work and his role in the Star series ''Wedding Season'' (2022).
