Shangmei Subdistrict
Shangmei Subdistrict () is a subdistrict and the seat of Xinhua County in Hunan, China. The subdistrict was incorporated from part of the former Shangmei Town on November 6, 2017. It has an area of with a population of 85,800 (as of 2017). The subdistrict has 11 villages and 16 communities under its jurisdiction, its seat is at ''Yingbin Road'' (). Xinhua County () is a county and the 4th most populous county-level division in the Province of Hunan, China; it is under the administration of Loudi City. Located along the middle reaches of the Zi River, it covers 3,635 square kilometers and has a population of 1,291,626 (2002). Xinhua shares the border with Lengshuijiang, Lianyuan, Xinshao, Xupu and Longhui counties and cities. Shangmei, Hunan
Shangmei Town () was a historic town and the former seat of Xinhua County in Hunan, China. The town was reformed through the amalgamation of ''Liaoyuan Township'' (), ''Beidu Township'' (), ''Fenglin Township'' () and ''Chengguan Town'' in 1995. The town was located in the south east of the county, it was bordered by the towns of Caojia and Youjia to the north, by Sangzi Town to the east, by the town of Shichongkou to the south, by Ketou Township and Luguan Town to the west. In 2017, additional 12 villages and a community from the towns of Caojia, Youjia and Sangzi and Ketou Township were transferred to it, it had an area of with a population of 189,600 (as of 2017). Youjia Town () is a town of Xinhua County in Hunan, China. The town is located in the central part of the county, it is bordered by Menggong Town and Youxi Township to the north, by Caojia Town to the east, by the subdistrict of Shangmei and Luguan Town to the south, by Xihe Town to the west.
