Seventeen (Yoasobi Song)
is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi from their EPs, '' Hajimete no – EP'' and ''The Book 3'' (2023). It was released through Sony Music Entertainment Japan on March 27, 2023, as the fourth and final single from the short story collection project ''Hajimete no'', following "Mr.", " Suki da", and "Umi no Manimani". It was based on 120th Naoki Prize-winning Miyuki Miyabe's story ''Iro Chigai no Trump''. Background and release On December 1, 2021, the same day as their extended play ''The Book 2'' release, Yoasobi announced the project ''Hajimete no'', a collaboration between the duo and four Naoki Prize-winning novelists, comprising Rio Shimamoto, Mizuki Tsujimura, Miyuki Miyabe, and Eto Mori, to produce songs based on the authors' stories with theme of "a story to read when you do omethingfor the first time". Yoasobi
Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019. It consists of musician and record producer Ayase (music producer), Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. With the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released Yoasobi discography, songs based on selected Fiction, fictional stories posted on , a social media website for creative writing operated by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Eto Mori
Eto Mori (, born 1968) is a Japanese novelist focusing on children's and young adult literature. She has been described as "one of the most celebrated female writers of fiction in Japan today". Mori was born in Tokyo, and graduated from the Japan Juvenile Education College and Waseda University. She released her debut novel, ''Rizumu'' (''Rhythm''), in 1990, winning the Kodansha Award of Children's Literature for Newcomers. Her other works include ''Uchu no minashigo'' (''Slight Light Little Star'' or ''Orphans of the Universe'', 1994, winner of the Noma Literary Prize New Author Award), ''Tsuki no fune'' (''Moon Ship'', 1998, winner of the Noma Literary Prize), and ''Kazeni maiagaru biniru shito'' (''Plastic Sheet Soaring in the Wind'', 2006, winner of the Naoki Prize).
