Self-enumeration Portal (SEP) is a nation-wide digital census's data collection process and management platform initially launched by the Government of Pakistan. List Of Provincial Governments Of Pakistan
The four provincial governments of Pakistan administer the four provinces of Pakistan. There is also a federal capital territory and two disputed regions which have similar governments but with some differences. The head of each province is a non-executive Governor appointed by the President. The Governors play a similar role, at the provincial level, as the President does at the federal level. Each province has a directly elected unicameral legislature (provincial assembly), with members elected for five-year terms. A census is the procedure of systematically acquiring, recording and calculating information about the members of a given population. This term is used mostly in connection with national population and housing censuses; other common censuses include censuses of agriculture, traditional culture, business, supplies, and traffic censuses. 2023 Census Of Pakistan
The 2023 Census of Pakistan will be a detailed enumeration of the Pakistani population that will be the seventh national census in the country. It is currently scheduled to be held from 1 Feb 2023 to 4 Mar 2023 and will be conducted by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. Background The Constitution of Pakistan requires that a population census be held every ten years. The results of censuses in Pakistan are used for resource allocation, sampling frames, constituency delimitation, apportionment, and for policy planning in the future. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, censuses were held in the years 1951, 1961, 1972 (delayed one year due to war in 1971), and 1981.
