Klaus Simon (biologist)
Klaus Simon is a German classical pianist and conductor. Biography and career Klaus Simon was born in Überlingen am Bodensee, Germany, and studied music, German and geography at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg. He studied piano with Michael Leuschner at the Freiburg Musikhochschule, and later studied in master classes with Aloys Kontarsky, for piano, and Hans Zender und Johannes Kalitzke for conducting. Simon founded the Holst Sinfonietta and the Young Opera Company, and is music director for both of these groups. Chondrichthyes (; ) is a class of jawed fish that contains the cartilaginous fish or chondrichthyans, which all have skeletons primarily composed of cartilage. They can be contrasted with the Osteichthyes or ''bony fish'', which have skeletons primarily composed of bone tissue. Chondrichthyes are aquatic vertebrates with paired fins, paired nares, placoid scales, conus arteriosus in the heart, and a lack of opercula and swim bladders. Scyliorhinidae
Scyliorhinidae is a Family (biology), family of sharks, one of a few families whose members share the common name catsharks, belonging to the Order (biology), order Carcharhiniformes, the ground sharks. Although they are generally known as catsharks, some species can also be called dogfish due to previous naming. However, a dogfish may generally be distinguished from a catshark as catsharks lay eggs while dogfish have live young. Like most bottom feeders, catsharks feed on benthic invertebrates and smaller fish. They are not harmful to humans.
