Say Anything (board Game)
''Say Anything'' is a board game designed by Dominic Crapuchettes and Satish Pillalamarri. It was released by North Star Games in 2008 as a follow-up to the award-winning ''Wits & Wagers''. Gameplay ''Say Anything'' is very similar to ''Wits & Wagers'' except players answer open-ended subjective questions instead of trivia questions. The goal of ''Say Anything'' is to get people talking about interesting things and laughing. Each round, one player will play the role of the Judge. The Judge draws a card and then asks a question from it. Sample questions include: * What would be the best thing to do on the moon? * What would be the coolest thing to teach a monkey? * What's the best action movie of all time? * What's the most important invention of the past century? * Who's the most annoying celebrity in show business? North Star Games
North Star Games is a board game publishing company based in Bethesda, Maryland and founded by Dominic Crapuchettes. The company has been publishing games since 2003 including Wits & Wagers, Say Anything, and Dirty Pig. History Dominic Crapuchettes grew up designing and inventing board games since he was nine years old. He fulfilled a lifelong goal of starting a board game company in 2003 while attending Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. MBA classmate Satish Pillalamarri joined the company full-time after graduation in 2004. Crapuchettes and Pillalamarri raised money from friends, family and even faculty to fund the first run of ''Cluzzle'' board games. In time more games followed and North Star board games began to appear on the shelves of specialty gaming stores and later Target Corporation. Wits And Wagers
''Wits & Wagers'' is a board game designed by Dominic Crapuchettes and Nate Heasley. It is published by North Star Games. The first edition of the game was published in 2005, and the second edition was released in 2007. The game is designed for 3 to 7 players or teams. Gameplay The game is played in seven rounds. One trivia question is asked each round, and each player gives a numerical answer to every trivia question. Players simultaneously place their written answers to the trivia question on the betting mat, and then bet on the answer they believe is closest to the right answer but not over it. The house pays players who choose the correct answer based on the odds marked on the board. The player with the most chips after the seventh question is the winner. The Origins Awards are American awards for outstanding work in the gaming industry. They are presented by the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) at the Origins Game Fair on an annual basis for games released in the preceding year.
