Saskia Broedelet
Saskia Broedelet (born 20 February 2004) is an Australian rhythmic gymnast. She will represent Australia at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the group all-around. Early and personal life Broedelet was born in 2004 in Auchenflower, Queensland. She began rhythmic gymnastics when she was five years old. As of 2024, she studies law at Queensland University of Technology, and she has a part-time job as a law clerk. Career Broedelet trained at the Premier Gymnastics Academy in Brisbane during her junior career. She dislocated her knee and had surgery in 2019. Despite the injury, she still competed as an individual at the 2019 Junior World Championships in Moscow. She competed with the ball and the ribbon, placing 36th and 20th, respectively. Phoebe Learmont
Phoebe Learmont (born 23 June 2005) is an Australian rhythmic gymnast who represents her country in international competitions. Career Learmont took up gymnastics at age six, first as an artistic gymnast as she joined a cousin who was already involved in the sport, and then she followed one of her coaches into rhythmic. Her breakthrough year came in 2017, when she placed first in hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and all around at the Australian titles. She began competing with the Aspire Gymnastics Academy rhythmic gymnastics group in 2023. The group placed fifth in the all-around at the Tashkent World Cup. Emmanouela Frroku (born 31 July 2007) is an Australian-Greek rhythmic gymnast. She represents her country in international competitions. Biography Emmanouela first started rhythmic gymnastics as a five-years-old in Greece. Before her ninth birthday she had already won her first medal, a bronze at the Greek national championships. She and her family moved to Australia (as her mother who has hails from Lesvos is an Australian citizen) after her parents lost their jobs in consequence of an economic crisis. Gymnastics At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article describes the qualifying phase for gymnastics at the 2024 Summer Olympics. A total of 318 gymnasts (192 in artistic, 94 in rhythmic and 32 in trampoline) will qualify. The qualification pathway for the 2024 Summer Olympics is significantly simplified and modified from those in 2020. In the artistic team event, a maximum of five gymnasts will be eligible to participate as opposed to the four per team and two individuals who competed in 2020 Summer Olympics, Tokyo 2020. Three teams who finish on the podium qualify for the Olympics through the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool with a large proportion of quota places distributed at the same meet in Antwerp, Belgium by the following year.
