''Sarangesa tricerata'', the tricerate elfin, is a butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. It is found in Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania. The habitat consists of drier forests. Adult males are attracted to bird droppings. Paul Mabille
Paul Mabille (1835 – 6 April 1923) was a French naturalist mainly interested in Lepidoptera and botany. Mabille was born in 1835 in Tours, France. He was a member and President (1876–1877) of the Société entomologique de France and a member of the Société entomologique de Belgique.
