Sara Sorribes Tormo
Sara Sorribes Tormo (; born 8 October 1996) is a Spanish professional tennis player. She achieved her career-high singles WTA rankings, ranking of world No. 32 on 7 February 2022 and No. 17 in doubles on 6 May 2024. She has won two singles titles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as one doubles title on the WTA 125 tournaments, WTA Challenger Tour. On the ITF Women's Circuit, ITF Circuit, she has won ten singles and five doubles titles. She is a bronze medalist in Tennis at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's doubles, women's doubles at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She won her maiden WTA Tour title at the 2021 Abierto Zapopan in Guadalajara. On the Challenger Tour, she has been runner-up at the Bol Open, and champion at the Open de Limoges, in doubles in 2019. 2022 US Open – Women's Doubles
Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 6–1 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. With the win, they became the first women's pair (and the third and fourth women overall, after Gigi Fernández and Pam Shriver) to complete the career Super Slam in doubles. It was their sixth major title together. Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai were the defending champions, but did not compete together. The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. The 2013 Mediterranean Games (), officially known as the XVII Mediterranean Games () and commonly known as Mersin 2013, was an international multi-sport event held from 20 to 30 June 2013 in Mersin, Turkey.
