Santiago Lange
Santiago Raúl Lange Roberti (born September 22, 1961 in San Isidro, Argentina) is an Argentine Olympic sailor and a naval architect. Sailing career He studied Naval Architecture at Southampton College of Higher Education (now known as Solent University) he did a degree in yacht design. He went on to work for Argentina designer German Frers for a couple of years before concentrating on competitive sailing. Olympics Representing Argentina over a 32-year period, he competed seven times in the Summer Olympics, winning a gold and two bronze medals. He qualified to represent Argentina at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He was one of Argentina's flag bearers for the opening ceremony at the 2020 Olympic Games. San Isidro, Buenos Aires
San Isidro is a city in Greater Buenos Aires. It is located 27.9 km from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA). It ranks as the province's most affluent neighborhood. History In 2007, San Isidro celebrated its 300 years of existence with different celebrations taking place in the Hippodrome and in other venues. The settlement was first incorporated in 1784 as the ''Alcaldía de la Hermandad'' and was granted municipality status by the province in 1850. 2003 ISAF Sailing World Championships was the first edition of the ISAF Sailing World Championships and was held in Cádiz, Spain from 11 September to 24 September. Sailing (sport), Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the Games of the 1st Olympiad (Sailing at the 1896 Summer Olympics, 1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece). With the exception of 1904 Summer Olympics, 1904 and possibly the canceled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule. The Sailing program of 1996 consisted of a total of ten sailing classes (disciplines). For each class, with the exception of the Soling, eleven races were scheduled from 22 July to 2 August 1996 off the coast of Savannah at the Wassaw Sound (an area of the Atlantic Ocean). Pedro Ferrero (born 21 March 1939) is a sailor from Argentina. Ferrero represented his country at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Kiel. Ferrero took 22nd place in the Soling with Ricardo Boneo as helmsman and Héctor Campos as fellow crew member. Ferrero second appearance was during the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston. Ferrero took 20th place in the Soling as helmsman with Andrés Robinson and Jorge Rão as fellow crew members. In the 1984 Summer Olympics in Long Beach, California, Ferrero took 13th place in the Soling as helmsman with Alberto Llorens and Carlos Sanguinetti as fellow crew members. The sport of sailing involves a variety of competitive sailing formats that are sanctioned through various sailing federations and yacht clubs.
