San Antonio Rampage
The San Antonio Rampage were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League based in San Antonio, Texas. The Rampage was primarily owned by Spurs Sports & Entertainment throughout the team's existence. In 2020, the franchise was sold to the Vegas Golden Knights and relocated as the Henderson Silver Knights. History In 2000, construction began on the SBC Center, located next to the Freeman Coliseum, home of the Central Hockey League's San Antonio Iguanas. Partnering with the Florida Panthers, the Spurs bought the dormant Adirondack Red Wings franchise and moved it to San Antonio. The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. The Colorado Eagles are a professional ice hockey team based in Loveland, Colorado. The Eagles play in the Pacific Division of the American Hockey League. Jonathan Richard Matsumoto (born October 13, 1986) is a Canadian-German professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for Krefeld Pinguine of the DEL2. Playing career Matsumoto began playing collegiate hockey for the Bowling Green State University Falcons during the 2004-05 season. He became just the third freshman in Falcons' history to lead the team in scoring. After two successful seasons, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round, 79th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Following his junior season, Matsumoto began working out with the Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms. Mike Pelino (ice Hockey)
Michael Pelino (born November 13, 1959) is a Canadian ice hockey coach. He has been serving as the head coach of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) since 2019. Career Pelino was born in Welland, Ontario. He played varsity ice hockey at the University of Toronto from 1979 to 1984. He won the 1984 OUAA and CIAU championships with the Blues, while making the Canadian All-Star team and earning OUAA first team distinction. During his ten-year tenure as head coach of Brock University (1987 - 1997), Pelino was named OUA West Division Coach of the Year three times (1988, 1989, and 1995).
