Samme Givens
Samme Givens (born August 9, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Oberá Tenis Club of the La Liga Argentina de Básquet (LLA). He played college basketball for Drexel University before playing professionally in the Netherlands, France, Germany and Israel. Professional career In his first season as a professional basketball player, Givens played for Aris Leeuwarden in the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). The website ''Eurobasket.com'' named him the most valuable player of the regular season, however Givens did not win the official award. With Aris, Givens reached the league finals, after surprising top-seeded EiffelTowers Den Bosch in the semi-finals. On June 19, 2013, Givens signed with ALM Évreux Basket of the Pro B in France. On September 15, 2015, Givens signed with the Israeli team Maccabi Ra'anana of the Liga Leumit. The Basketball Tournament
The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. The 2022 edition features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize, broadcast by ESPN. TBT was founded in 2014 by Jonathan Mugar. Format Teams in TBT are arranged by the general manager, sometimes based on which college basketball program the players competed for. The tournament has had as many as 97 teams, in 2015, and as few as 24 teams, in 2020. Since 2016, the tournament has most often used a 64-team field. In 2019, the 64 teams were divided into eight regions, with each regional winner advancing to the championship venue. In 2020, the tournament field was reduced to 24 teams with all games played at a single venue, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promoted to the top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. Heroes Den Bosch is a Dutch professional basketball club based in 's-Hertogenbosch. The club plays in the BNXT League since 2021 and in the top basketball division in the Netherlands since 1972. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential.
