Samara (2023 Film)
''Samara'' is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language science fiction thriller film written and directed by Charles Joseph in his directorial debut. The film stars Rahman, Bharath, Sanjana Dipu, Binoj Villya and Rahul Madhav in the lead roles. The film was released on 11 August 2023 by Listin Stephen. Plot The film is about a possible biowar that happens in the country with people getting infected with a virus. Cast Production Principal photography took place in Dharamshala, Kullu, Manali and Jammu and Kashmir. Music The film has songs composed by Deepak Warrier, while the original background score is provided by Gopi Sundar. Release The film was initially scheduled to release in Kerala on 4 August 2023. It was later postponed and released on 11 August 2023. The dubbed Tamil version was released on 13 October 2023 by K.V. Shabarreesh of 2M cinemas. Rahman (actor)
Rashin Rahman (born 23 May 1967), commonly known by his surname Rahman, is an Indian actor. He has worked in around 200 films, primarily in Malayalam cinema, in addition to Tamil, Hindi and Telugu cinema, and has won several awards. In Tamil and Telugu cinema, he is also known by the screen names Raghuman and Raghu. He made his acting debut in '' Koodevide'' (1983), for which he won his first Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor. He was a popular teen idol in Malayalam cinema during the 1980s, which heightened his stardom in Malayalam film industry. He eventually shifted to playing lead roles in Tamil and Telugu films during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He made a comeback in Malayalam films in 2004. Kullu () is a municipal council town that serves as the administrative headquarters of the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
