Sakura Genesis (2024)
Sakura Genesis was professional wrestling event promoted by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The event took place on April 6, 2024, in Tokyo at Ryōgoku Kokugikan. Previously held under the Invasion Attack name, this was the fifth event to be held under the Sakura Genesis name. Production Storylines Sakura Genesis will feature professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. On March 20, 2024, Yota Tsuji would win the New Japan Cup by defeating three-time winner Hirooki Goto in the finals, allowing Tsuji to challenge Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis. Yota Tsuji
is a Japanese professional wrestler currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Early life Before wrestling, Tsuji had played baseball, American football and had done Taekwondo. In March 2012, he graduated from Yokohama Tateno high-school. In March 2016, Tsuji graduated from Nippon Sport Science University. Professional wrestling career New Japan Pro Wrestling (2017–present) In April 2017, Tsuji was signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling under New Japan's " young lion" system. Kosei Fujita
is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he is a member of The Mighty Don't Kneel stable. Early life Fujita was born in Niihama, Ehime, Japan on July 14, 2002. He competed in amateur wrestling in high school, and in 2019, he won the JOC Chugoku/Shikoku Championship 80kg class. Lucas Eatwell (born 24 July 1987), better known by his ring name Zack Sabre Jr. (Katakana: ザック・セイバーJr, ''Zakku Seibā Jr.''), is an English professional wrestler. The Mighty Don't Kneel (TMDK) are a professional wrestling stable which currently wrestles for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The stable consists of Mikey Nicholls, Shane Haste Bad Dude Tito, Zack Sabre Jr. and Kosei Fujita. Sabre Jr. is the current and inaugural NJPW World Television Champion. Just about any singles or melee match type can be adapted to tag teams; for example, hardcore tag team matches are commonplace. Background A pinfall is a victory condition in various forms of professional wrestling that is met by holding (pinning) an opponent's shoulders on the wrestling mat, usually until the referee counts to three. Chaos (stylised as CHAOS) is a professional wrestling stable, primarily performing in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) promotion and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The stable is currently led by Kazuchika Okada.
