The Renault Samsung SM3 is a compact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Renault Samsung Motors from 2003 to 2020. __TOC__ First generation (G10; 2002–2009) The first generation SM3 was a rebranded first generation Nissan Bluebird Sylphy, Nissan Sunny/Bluebird Sylphy made in South Korea by Renault Samsung Motors. Production began in September 2002 in Busan. It received a facelift in August 2005 (known as "SM3 New Generation"). Renault Samsung Motors
Renault Korea Co., Ltd. () is a South Korean car manufacturer headquartered in Busan where its single assembly site is also located, with additional facilities at Seoul (administration), Giheung District, Giheung (research and development) and Daegu (vehicle testing). The company was first established as Samsung Motors in 1994 by the chaebol Samsung, with technical assistance from Nissan.
