''Shady XV'' (stylized as ''SH∀DYXV'', pronounced 'shady fifteen) is a hip hop compilation album performed by various artists of Shady Records. The double disc album was released on November 24, 2014, by Shady Records and Interscope Records. The album was released in honor of the label's 15th anniversary and as its 15th project (excluding Eminem's solo releases). The compilation consists of two discs, the first featuring new material from Shady Records artists such as Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf, as well as the label's founder Eminem. The second disc includes the label's greatest hits, also featuring former Shady Records members. All previous and current members of the label are represented on the album. Shady Records is an American record label founded by rapper Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg in 1999, following the commercially successful release of '' The Slim Shady LP'' that same year. The label's name comes from the last name of Eminem's alter ego, Slim Shady. The Shady Records roster was showcased on their 2006 compilation album, '' Eminem Presents: The Re-Up'', which peaked at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' 200. "Till It's Gone" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Yelawolf, featured on his 2015 album ''Love Story''. Written by Yelawolf, producer WLPWR, guitarist Mike Hartnett and mixing engineer Matthew Hayes, it was originally featured on some versions of the 2014 Shady Records compilation ''Shady XV''. The song was released as the second single from both albums on September 16, 2014. Paul Rosenberg (music Manager)
Paul Rosenberg (born August 1, 1971) is an American talent manager and former entertainment attorney from Detroit, Michigan. He is best known for being the manager of Eminem. He founded Goliath Artists in the late 1990s, through which he signed and managed fellow Detroiter, rapper Eminem. He is also the co-founder and former president of Shady Records, a subsidiary of Interscope Records, which signed artists including Obie Trice, 50 Cent, D12, Yelawolf, Westside Boogie, and Griselda amongst others. From January 2018 to early 2020, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of Def Jam Recordings. Michael Wayne Atha (born December 30, 1979), better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper. Born in Gadsden, Alabama, and raised in Antioch, Tennessee, he embarked on his recording career in 2005, releasing four mixtapes to positive local reception. Bad Meets Evil is an American Hip hop music, hip hop Supergroup (music), super duo composed of Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5′9″ ("bad") and Eminem ("evil"). Formed in 1997, the duo's name comes from the namesake song from Eminem's ''The Slim Shady LP'' (1999), which featured Royce da 5'9". Slaughterhouse were an American hip-hop supergroup (music), supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Kxng Crooked, and Royce da 5'9".
