Roy Chapman Andrews (January 26, 1884 – March 11, 1960) was an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist who became the director of the American Museum of Natural History. He led a series of expeditions through the politically disturbed China of the early 20th century into the Gobi Desert and Mongolia. The expeditions made important discoveries and brought the first-known fossil dinosaur eggs to the museum. Chapman's popular writing about his adventures made him famous. Roy Anderson (born October 5, 1980) is an American football coach for the Minnesota Vikings. Coaching career Anderson's career began at Florida A&M where, in 2002, he served as a graduate assistant. In 2003, at LSU under Nick Saban, Anderson was a student assistant working primarily with wide receivers. He then moved on to Florida State where he worked under the legendary Bobby Bowden as a graduate assistant. He would spend the next three seasons as a player personnel assistant with the Baltimore Ravens before being promoted to a coaching assistant position in 2008 with the arrival of John Harbaugh. Major General Roy Cecil Andersen (born 12 May 1948 in Johannesburg) is a South African businessman and a retired Reserve general officer in the South African Army from the artillery. He matriculated from Northview High School and graduated from Witwatersrand University. Roy Andersen (born 2 April 1955) is a former Norwegian long-distance runner. Internationally he finished tenth at the 1982 European Championships and 38th at the 1986 World Cross Country Championships. He also competed at the 1983 World Championships without reaching the final. He became national marathon champion in 1987 and half marathon champion in 1988. He won the 5000 metres silver medals in 1982 and 1983, won the 10,000 metres silver in 1982, and a bronze in 1985. Roy Claxton Acuff (September 15, 1903 – November 23, 1992) was an American country music singer, fiddler, and promoter. Known as the "King of Country Music", Acuff is often credited with moving the genre from its early string band and "hoedown" format to the singer-based format that helped make it internationally successful. In 1952, Hank Williams told Ralph Gleason, "He's the biggest singer this music ever knew. You booked him and you didn't worry about crowds.
