Roskilde County
Roskilde Amt () is a former county () on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The county was abolished effective January 1, 2007, when it merged into Region Sjælland (i.e. ''Region Zealand''). Roskilde is also the name of the county's capital, and the name of a municipality (). The small city of Roskilde is located 30 km west of Copenhagen. Danish kings were traditionally crowned there, in the Roskilde Cathedral. Roskilde is also home to the Viking Ship Museum, an "alternative" university, and the popular Roskilde Festival, annual music festival. Bramsnæs
Until 1 January 2007 Bramsnæs was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Roskilde County on the island of Zealand in East Denmark. The municipality, lying between Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord, covered an area of 80 km2, and had a total population of 9,391 (2005). Its last mayor was Flemming Jensen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Kirke Hyllinge. To the east is Roskilde Fjord and to the west is Isefjord. The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a ("Municipality Reform") that combined the following parishes: Gershøj, Hyllinge, Lyndby, Rye, Sonnerup, and Sæby parish. Vallø
Vallø was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Roskilde County on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in East Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 84 km2, and had a total population of 10,337 (2005). Its last mayor was Poul Arne Nielsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Skovbo Municipality
Skovbo is a former municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Roskilde County on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in east Denmark. It covered an area of 132 km², and had a total population of 14,873 (2005). Its last mayor was Ole Hansen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Borup. Roskilde Municipality
Roskilde municipality ( da, Roskilde kommune) is a municipality in Region Sjælland, 30 km west of Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in east Denmark. The biggest city is Roskilde, the municipality covers an area of 212 km², and it has a total population of around 90,000 (2022). Its current mayor is Tomas Breddam. Køge Municipality
Køge Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') approx. 40 km southwest of Copenhagen. Hvalsø is a town and a former municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in east Denmark. Gundsø was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Roskilde county on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in East Denmark. 1 January 2007 the municipality of Gundsø merged with the municipality of Roskilde and the municipality of Ramsø as a result of the structural reform. Greve Municipality
Greve Municipality is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') about 21 km south-west of Copenhagen in Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark.
