Rosalino Cellamare
Rosalino Cellamare (born 13 August 1953) better known as Ron, is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician. Born in Dorno, province of Pavia, he debuted under his true name at the 1970 edition of the Sanremo Festival, together with Nada. In the following years he distinguished as songwriter for Lucio Dalla and others. After a period as actor, he returned collaborating with Dalla and De Gregori in their ''Banana Republic'' tour of 1979, and issuing the LPs ''Una città per cantare'' (1980) and ''Anima'' (1982). These were followed by ''Joe Temerario'' (1984) and ''Il mondo avrà una grande anima'' (1988). ''Una città per cantare'' is an Italian cover of ''The Road'', song Danny O'Keefe; Italian lyrics are written by Lucio Dalla. Tosca (singer)
Tiziana Donati (born 29 August 1967), better known by the stage name Tosca, is an Italian singer and actress, born on 29 August 1967 in Rome. She began her artistic career in the small theatre company of Checco Durante, a piano bar in her home town. Her career was then launched by Renzo Arbore in a television broadcast “Il Caso Sanremo” with Lino Banfi. Music career In 1989 she sang the song “Carcere ‘e mare” (Prison of Sea) for the title track of the film “Scugnizzi” directed by Nanni Loy. The Sanremo Music Festival 1996 was the 46th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, in the late February 1996 and broadcast by Rai 1. The show was presented by Pippo Baudo, who also served as the artistic director, with actress Sabrina Ferilli and model Valeria Mazza. The winners of the Big Artists section were Ron and Tosca with the song "Vorrei incontrarti fra cent'anni", while Syria won the "New Proposals" section with the song "Non ci sto". In this edition the Critics Award was named after Mia Martini (who died the year before). It was awarded to the song " La terra dei cachi" by Elio e le Storie Tese. Danny O'Keefe (born May 20, 1943) is an American folk singer and songwriter. Career In 1968, O'Keefe was a member of a four-man heavy psychedelic rock band named Calliope. The group recorded one album, ''Steamed'', for Buddah Records before disbanding. O'Keefe is best known for the hit single, "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues", which was released in September 1972, and reached number 9 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, and for "The Road", covered by Jackson Browne on '' Running on Empty''. "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues" stayed on the ''Billboard'' chart for 14 weeks and sold a million copies. Sales culminated in a gold disc issued by the R.I.A.A. in June 1973.
