Ron J. Twilegar
Ron Jess Twilegar (born September 18, 1950) is an American attorney who served as a member of the Idaho Legislature. Twilegar was the 1990 Democratic nominee for the open United States Senate seat in Idaho vacated by Jim McClure. He was defeated by Republican Congressman Larry Craig. Early life Twilegar was born in Vancouver, Washington. He moved to Boise, Idaho when he was 10 years old and later served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Career Prior to his Senate run Twilegar was a member of the Idaho Legislature, serving in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1975 to 1976 and the Idaho Senate from 1977 to 1982. Additionally, Twilegar was the Senate Minority Leader during his time in the Senate. Twilegar was on Boise City Council from 1984 to 1987. Twilegar ran unopposed in the primary for Boise County prosecutor and was unopposed in the general election. Walt Minnick
Walter Clifford Minnick (born September 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as a U.S. Representative for , serving from 2009 until 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is in the western part of the state, and includes roughly one-fourth of Boise and most of its suburbs, as well as Meridian and Nampa. It also includes the cities of Lewiston, Moscow and Coeur d'Alene. In 2008, Minnick defeated incumbent Bill Sali to win his office, but in 2010 he was defeated by challenger Raúl Labrador in the general election. After leaving office, he co-founded the lobbying firm The Majority Group with his former chief-of-staff Rob Ellsworth and Wall Street attorney Chris DiAngelo. Donna Jones (Idaho Politician)
Donna M. Jones (1939–2022) was an American politician. She served as the 20th Idaho state controller from November 7, 2006 to October 15, 2012. Jones previously served twelve years in the Idaho House of Representatives which culminated in her being the first woman selected to chair the House Revenue and Taxation Committee. Jones was the first woman elected to serve as Idaho State Controller. Early life and career Early years Donna M. Jones was born at Brush, Colorado on January 14, 1939. She spent her early childhood at Rago, Colorado, which is located on the northeastern plains of the state about 20 miles outside of Akron, Colorado.
