Rodrigo Tiuí
Rodrigo Bonifácio da Rocha (born 4 December 1985 in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo), nicknamed Tiuí, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Clube Atlético Barra da Tijuca as a forward. Football career At Fluminense FC, Tiuí broke into the first team at the age of 18. In his first full season, he scored five goals in 18 Série A appearances, but only managed to find the net on three occasions the following campaign, having appeared in 29 league matches. In 2006, Tiuí went on loan to Esporte Clube Noroeste from the Série C. He had another loan spell the same year with Santos FC, thus returning to the top level. Tiuí signed with Sporting Clube de Portugal in January 2008, with the club buying half of the player's rights from C.A. Rentistas (his rights were in fact held by an investing company). Simon Vukčević (Serbian Cyrillic: Симон Вукчевић, ; born 29 January 1986) is a Montenegrin former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. The 2006 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 50th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. It began on April 15, 2006, and reached its end on December 3, 2006. Format The format was similar to the 2005 edition, though fielding two fewer teams. 20 teams competed, each team playing the other in a home-and-away format. At the season finale, the team with the most accumulated points (3 for each win, 1 for a draw, none for a loss) was declared champion. Calendar From April 15 through June 4, 10 rounds were played. From June 9 until July 9, the tournament was suspended for the FIFA World Cup 2006. Play resumed on July 12 and continued until December 3. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
