Risdon Beazley
Risdon Archibald Beazley (1904–1979) was the founder of Risdon Beazley Ltd, a Marine salvage company that operated from 1926 to 1981 in Southampton, England. Early career Beazley formed his company in 1926, when he was 22 years old. Throughout the life of the companies their base remained at Clausentum Yard, Bitterne Manor, Southampton. By the 1930s Risdon Beazley Ltd. was undertaking demolition work and wreck removal. In 1936 Beazley was a partner in the salvage of the square rigger '' Herzogin Cecilie''. In 1937 the British cargo ship ''English Trader'' went ashore whilst entering Dartmouth Harbour; Risdon Beazley removed and cut up the bow section. In the same year ''Kantoeng'', then the largest tin dredge in the world, capsized whilst under tow of Smit International tugs; Risdon Beazley removed the hull. Dustin Risdon
Dustin Risdon (born April 30, 1981) is a Canadian professional golfer. He joined the Canadian Professional Golf Tour in 2002 which has resulted in three Canadian wins. Risdon was born in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada. He won both the Canadian Junior and Juvenile Championships in 1997. He was the Alberta Junior champion in 1998 and 1999. Risdon won the 2008 ATB Financial Classic in his hometown of Calgary in a playoff over George Bradford. He shot 62 in the second round on his way to the title. Risdon finished T-2nd at the Players Cup, T-4th at the Stockton Sports Commission Classic, T-10 at the Saskatchewan Open. Broke through in 2007 by capturing the Telus Edmonton Open to win by a stroke over Alan McLean. Set a course record 63 in second round on his way to the title. Elisabeth Risdon
Elisabeth Risdon (born Daisy Cartwright Risdon; 26 April 1887 – 20 December 1958) was an English film actress. She appeared in more than 140 films between 1913 and 1952. A beauty in her youth, she usually played in society parts. In later years in films she switched to playing character parts. Biography Born in London as Daisy Cartwright Risdon, the daughter of John Jenkins Risdon and Martha Harrop Risdon, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in 1918 with high honours. She attracted the attention of George Bernard Shaw and was cast as the lead in his biggest plays. Joshua Robert Risdon (born 27 July 1992) is an Australian professional football (soccer) player who currently plays as a right back for Western United. Risdon has represented Australia on several occasions since debuting in 2015. Club career Risdon made his senior debut for Perth Glory on 28 November 2010, starting against the North Queensland Fury. During his debut season he made six appearances in total, including three straight starts between rounds 24 and 26. Tristram Risdon
Tristram Risdon (c. 1580 – 1640) was an English antiquarian and topographer, and the author of ''Survey of the County of Devon''. He was able to devote most of his life to writing this work. After he completed it in about 1632 it circulated around interested people in several manuscript copies for almost 80 years before it was first published by Edmund Curll in a very inferior form. A full version was not published until 1811. Risdon also collected information about genealogy and heraldry in a note-book; this was edited and published in 1897. Wilfred Risdon (28 January 1896 – 11 March 1967) was a British trade union organizer, a founder member of the British Union of Fascists and an antivivisection campaigner. His life and career encompassed coal mining, trade union work, First World War service with the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), political and animal welfare activism.
