Richard Collins (1947 – April 15, 2013) was a Canadian actor. He was best known for playing Philadelphia "Phil" Collins in the comedy series ''Trailer Park Boys''. In 2011, he also appeared as Big Ron in '' The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour''. Richard Collins (1755–1831) was a British miniature painter. Life Collins was born at Gosport in Hampshire, on 30 January 1755. He studied enamel-painting with Jeremias Meyer. In 1777, he exhibited some portraits at the Royal Academy. He shared with Richard Cosway and Samuel Shelley the fashionable sitters of the day, and in 1789, was appointed principal portrait-painter in enamel to George III. He executed some fine miniature portraits of the royal family. Richard Collins (bishop)
Richard Collins (5 April 1857 – 9 February 1924) was a British prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle from 1909 to 1924. Life Born in Newbury, Berkshire on 5 April 1857, he was ordained to the priesthood on 30 May 1885. He was appointed an auxiliary bishop of Hexham and Newcastle and Titular Bishop of ''Selinus'' on 31 March 1905. His consecration to the Episcopate took place on 29 June 1905, the principal consecrator was Cardinal Francis Bourne, Archbishop of Westminster, and the principal co-consecrators were Bishop Francis Mostyn of Menevia and Bishop George Burton of Clifton. Four years later, Collins was appointed Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle on 21 June 1909. The Filson Historical Society, founded in 1884, is a privately supported historical society located at 1310 South 3rd Street in Louisville, Kentucky. The Filson is an organization dedicated to providing continuing adult education in the form of quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal, Ohio Valley History, a quarterly magazine, The Filson, weekly lectures, historical tours, and exhibits. Richard Henn Collins, Baron Collins (31 January 1842 – 3 January 1911) was an Anglo-Irish lawyer and judge. Life Born in Dublin, Collins was educated at the Royal School Dungannon and Trinity College Dublin (where he was elected a Scholar), and Downing College, Cambridge. In 1867, he was called to the English bar and joined the northern circuit. He was made a Queen's Counsel in 1883 and a judge in 1891. Having made a Lord Justice of Appeal in 1897, he was appointed also to the Privy Council. In October 1901, Collins became Master of the Rolls after the death of Sir Archibald Smith, and the following month was appointed to the accompanying post of Chairman of the Historical Manuscripts Commission. He received the honorary degree LL.D. from the University of Cambridge in May 1902.
